A shrub comprising hundreds of varieties. In Japan, it symbolises spring with its exceptional blooms. It prefers acidic soil and a partially shaded position in summer. Despite its natural shrubby form, beautiful trees can be created as bonsai.

A beautiful specimen of the Kozan variety from Japan. The massive trunk and its large branches create an imposing plant that draws horizontal lines. It becomes enchanting during its old rose-coloured flowering, enhanced by the dark blue pot.
