Book presentation: Living in Scarpadia

The residents of Scarpadia, the Scarpadii, are people who make their talents and genius available to ensure the society they are part of functions to the best of its ability. The citizens are divided into tribes with funny and amusing characteristics: the fishnet sock tribe organises musical and theatrical shows and manages a circus; the pink sock tribe does manicures and creates clothing collections for every season, but is also involved with its doctors in the various departments of Scarpadia Hospital; the black linen sock tribe invents new ways to produce clean energy; the Pac-Man sock tribe holds electoral rallies and political debates, even though nobody ever goes to listen to them...

The economy is underpinned by the sale of the precious and extremely rare metal Calcagno, extracted by the Hole-Sock tribe from the Stinchella mine, located at the foot of Mount Calcagnola.
