The Village opens its doors to the Pistoia dog shelter “Rifugio del Cane”

From 11 am to 1 pm

Pistoia Dog Shelter Presentation and Introduction to the Day

Children's workshop

  • Draw your ideal dog.
  • Themed animated readings.

13:00 to 14:00 – Lunch break & relaxation

Dog-friendly area with water bowls and shaded spaces.

From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

  • Introducing our guest dogs with their stories
  • Children's workshop dedicated to creating bandanas and cardboard dog tags
  • Dog show & interactive activities
  • Dog trainers: basic exercises and practical advice
  • “Adopt Me” Fashion Show”
  • Awareness session on adoption and child sponsorship

Throughout all the activities, there will be a Polaroid camera to take snapshots with the shelter dogs that you can take home as a memento.

Children's Workshop

Saturday 13th December

INFORMATION
From 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, there will be a workshop for children aged 6 to 10 with Andrea.

1 hour of gameplay exploring Bonsai, what we'll do:

1- What is a Bonsai?

2- Draw your favourite Bonsai

3- Work on your Bonsai with Andrea

4- Take it home and look after it.

Intermediate Bonsai Course

3rd Edition — Intermediate Practical Bonsai Course

Three evenings dedicated to bonsai practice with Maestro Francesco Santini and Bonsai Artist Andrea Matteucci, in collaboration with Franchi Bonsai — Producers of Art.

A course designed for those who already have the basics and want to move from theory to actual crafting: three evening sessions to create your own bonsai with your own hands, under the guidance of two professionals in the field.

During the course, the following topics will be addressed:

  • Origins and history of bonsai
  • Recognition of trees and their characteristics
  • Pruning, limbing and defoliation
  • Repotting, substrates and choice of pots
  • Tools and processing techniques
  • watering, fertilizing, exposure and the main diseases

In the third evening, it's time for practice: a real technical demonstration and the crafting of a bonsai by the Bonsai Master himself!

The package of 3 lessons includes:

  • a plant for processing
  • certificate of participation
  • gadgets Franchi Bonsai

Limited seats: maximum 10 people.
