ATLAS CEDAR
Cedrus Atlantica
Native to the Atlas Mountains in North Africa, between Morocco and Algeria. It has vegetation tending towards a blue-grey colour with silvery reflections.
The crown tends with age to become very open, with branches that tend to point upwards.
This is an imposing and large specimen. Time and care have made this plant ancient and austere. Apart from minor pruning, it no longer requires corrective interventions.
It now maintains its shape autonomously.
It was worked in the 80s by the famous American bonsai artist Dan Robinson during a bonsai event organised by Franchi Bonsai.
