ELM
Ulmus Parvifolia
Originating from south-east asia and China. The branching order and small leaves make this plant is particularly well suited to bonsai cultivation. It suits well both in the sun and in the penumbra and has a generous vegetative stimulus. Depending on its area of origin in the winter may lose all or part of the leaves.
The mighty, hollow trunk and wide canopy make us think of a very old plant. In fact, it is!
With an estimated age of 250 years, this bonsai is the oldest in the entire collection.
The beauty of this plant lies in its many details that bear witness to its venerable age, such as the large trunk, the fine branching, and the very small leaves.
