JUNIPER
Juniperus Chinensis
A coniferous tree of the cypress family, which includes many varieties, such as Itoigawa and Kishu, of Chinese and Japanese origin, the most suitable for bonsai cultivation due to their dense foliage. It likes direct sunlight and infrequent watering.
It adapts well to all climates and is the most used species to start working on bonsai, thanks to its ease of manipulation.
This juniper arrived from Japan around 2009. Its appearance was very different from how it is now.
In 2012, during a demonstration organised by Franchi Bonsai, it was worked for the first time by the famous Japanese master Kunio Kobayashi. From then on, the plant has always been cultivated and worked by us, reaching the form we see today.
