Originating from China and Taiwan, widely used in bonsai cultivation. A vigorous plant suitable for developing thick trunks and very resistant to pruning. It appreciates frequent watering, especially during the summer, and semi-shady exposure.

The low, compact trunk combined with a vigorous, radial base makes this maple bonsai an specimen with a pronounced sense of strength and age. It is also a perfect example of the chokkan (formal upright) style as the trunk is straight and without movement.
