- For All
The 10 September at 21:00, the Naturart Village will host a special evening dedicated to the memory of Nick Becattini, artist from Pistoia and one of Italy's most important blues guitarists, who passed away on 10 September 2024.
The story of Nick Becattini
With the passing of Nick, Italian blues has lost one of its most authentic voices and one of its greatest guitar talents.
Over the course of his long career, he also took his music overseas, living significant experiences on the Chicago blues scene, where he had the opportunity to collaborate and share the stage with some of the great protagonists of American blues, including Albert King, Johnny Copeland and Phil Guy, as well as becoming a permanent member of Son Seals' band.
A deep connection with international blues that has accompanied his entire career and made him an artist recognised well beyond Italian borders.
Particularly significant was his last public appearance, right at the Pistoia Blues Festival, where Nick received the blues world's final great applause to the tune of Sweet Home Pistoia, an unreleased track written specially for the festival.
Nick Becattini Legacy
Nick's music has come back to life thanks to the Nick Becattini Legacy project, born from the desire of his family and the musicians who shared part of his artistic journey with him. The historic line-up is in fact returning on the road again to perform live the songs that defined Nick's life and to continue telling, through music, his unique way of experiencing the blues.
During the concerts his latest album, Crazy Legs, is also performed, and his work is also kept alive through the distribution of his books Cathartic Blues and Dialogues with Giulio.
The Legacy is therefore not just a series of concerts, but a genuine journey through the music and history of an artist who has left a profound mark on the Italian and international blues scene.
