DJ Paul Brown

PAUL BROWN, the stage name of Paolo Bruno, is a DJ from Tuscany and a lover of 100% pure house music. He specialises in the ’art’ of mixing using vinyl alone, something that has always set him apart. From the tender age of four, he showed an affinity for the world of electronic music, arguing with his beloved grandfather so he could use an old record player: he was already taking in the scent of vinyl, that magical black object “with lots of little lines’, which would later become the treasure chest of his music and his art. Always on an ”obsessive“ quest for technical perfection, he entered the world of house music in 1990, when, purely by chance, he found himself at the opening night of a club which, over the years, would become and be hailed as the temple of house music in Italy. It was on that very occasion that he had the great fortune to meet the internationally renowned DJ, Stefano D’Andrea, who has always been a source of inspiration for him and from whom he learnt the fundamentals that enabled him to become a DJ who thinks ”outside the box“. He has played in many Italian clubs and discos alongside famous DJs; a key highlight was his stint as resident DJ for two consecutive years at Bambù in Mantua. By chance one evening, through their mutual friend and mentor, Stefano D’Andrea, he met Edoardo Serra, who immediately appreciated and recognised his talent. A great and genuine friendship immediately blossomed between Paolo and Edoardo, who soon invited him to perform live on the radio station radiohousemusic.it. Success was immediate… the public were clamouring for him; everyone was tuning in to the live broadcasts on radiohousemusic.it, where Paul Brown performed his spectacular Special Live Sets, to the extent that, the board of directors at radiohousemusic.it decided to appoint him as resident DJ for ”HOUSE in the HOUSE’, radiohousemusic.it’s flagship programme. .
